Hollywood Stars Who Absolutely Refuse To Work Together

In the celebrity world, not everyone gets along. We’ve all seen the Twitter feuds and the rap beefs that are put out for everyone to see, but there are also personal differences between individual stars that drive them to hate each other. Sometimes these actors find out just how much they loath each other while working together on a television show or movie, which means they need to finish the job. But after the job is done, these celebrities are never permitted to work together ever again…not that they would want to anyway.

Bill Murray and Lucy Liu

It’s hard to imagine either of these celebrities as the type to hate a fellow actor, but these two discovered just how much they didn’t get along on the set of the remake of the Charlie’s Angels movie, where Bill Murray played Bosley, Charlie’s assistant.

During their time shooting Bill was absolutely awful to Lucy and criticized her acting skills constantly. Once he got her so angry that she tried to punch him in the face.

Will Smith and Janet Hubert

Everyone knows that Will Smith got his big break as the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Most of the main characters got along very well and loved their time on set. However, Janet Hubert who played Aunt Vivian (for 3 seasons until she was eventually replaced by Daphne Maxwell-Reid) was allegedly so difficult to work with that she had to be traded for another actress.

Will Smith once said of her: “I can say straight up that Janet Hubert wanted the show to be ‘The Aunt Viv of Bel-Air Show’ because I know she is going to dog me in the press”.

Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj

During the 12th season of American Idol, both Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj were chosen to be judges on the show. Although neither of them was a contestant, they immediately began trying to seemingly one-up each other’s diva attitude.

USA Today

They would fight all the time, and it became hostile after a while. Mariah once talked about her experience with Nicki saying it was “like going to work every day in hell with Satan.”

Jennifer Aniston and Leslie Mann

So nothing actually happened between the two actresses, but Jennifer Aniston made it perfectly clear that she does not want to work with Leslie Mann. Apparently, Mann is notorious for being unfriendly to the other female leads in any movie she’s worked on.

It looks like Jennifer Aniston just does not want that kind of energy, so she’s not taking any chances of getting stuck for months with someone who could make her time miserable.

Wesley Snipes and Ryan Reynolds

If you’re wondering why Wesley Snipes is no longer a frequent face on the big screen, this might explain it. In the third ‘Blade’ movie, Snipes was joined by Ryan Reynolds, who found that his co-star was extremely difficult to work with.

Apparently, Snipes was such a spoiled celeb that he wouldn’t even talk to his co-stars, he would only communicate through his assistant. Also, he would make nasty cracks at Ryan calling him “cracker” and other not so nice names.

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams

Despite one of the big screen’s most famous and romantic relationships, the two leads in The Notebook were far from in love with one another, at least at first. In fact, there was a point during filming where Ryan Gosling asked the director to find someone else to take McAdam’s role, as he could not work with her.

In the end, the director sent them both to an actual ‘couple’s therapy’ session, and the two screamed it out until they felt good enough to return to set.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson

It’s hard to hate your co-star when you are filming a movie like 50 Shades of Grey. But unfortunately for Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, life on set isn’t as steamy and romantic as it seems to be on film.

During an interview, the two of them sat together, stony-face, and explained to the interviewer how there was absolutely no chemistry and how they essentially hated one another.

Blake Lively and Leighton Meester

Although the world got to know these two actresses as Gossip Girl’s best friend duo for six entire seasons, the real world is very different. Since the show ended, the actresses have not spoken a word to one another, even to this day.

No one knows for sure why, but there is a rumor that this feud started when Blake Lively didn’t say congratulations to Leighton Meester when she and Adam Brody got engaged.

Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep has been very vocal about her bad feelings towards Dustin Hoffman, and for good reason. While filming Kramer vs. Kramer, Hoffman became abusive when Streep made a few changes to a specific scene she felt uncomfortable with.

He told her to “… stop carrying the flag for feminism and just act the scene.” Hoffman also slapped her during a scene, really hard. He took it too far and Streep will never work with him again.

Jerome Flynn and Lena Headey

For the Game of Thrones fans out there, have you ever noticed that Queen Cersei and Bronn never shared even a moment of screen time? Well, it was on purpose, because the two are purposefully avoiding one another.

The two actors formerly dated and things, apparently, did not go well. Although they were working on the same set for years, they were to be “kept apart at all costs”.
